Violet In Pink

This painting was featured in the 2021 PRHBTN show at the Lexington Art League.

I love creating paintings with dark backgrounds, but after painting a few in a row, I usually switch it up to something lighter and bright. It’s not a conscious decision and I just realized that I had this pattern not too long ago.

Violet is not a color that I use too often unless it is mixed with another to create a new hue, but I really liked how this one turned out.
